We opened our first store in Manchester, Vermont in 1988. From the beginning, we have been an industry innovator, working to remain at the forefront of fast casual dining, the fastest growing market segment in the restaurant industry.

We expanded our brand in the spring of 2002 and became The Works Bakery Café, once again anticipating trends in the fast casual segment.

Our menu features whole foods made from pure, natural ingredients with local and organic products used whenever possible, including organic quinoa bowls made with ancient grains, delicious paninis, creative sandwiches and wraps, New York-style bagels, artisan breads, decadent pastries, fresh fruit or veggie smoothies, freshly-made salads tossed with house-made dressing, Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee, lattes, and more.

A lot of excitement has been generated over our healthy menu and our unique restaurant concept. The Works has been featured on The Today Show and National Public Television, and in Inc. Magazine and The Green Business Quarterly.

All of our cafés are designed to be warm and inviting, using sustainable or salvaged building materials. The result is a relaxing, earth-friendly environment where people can enjoy a meal or kick back with coffee and friends. All of our restaurants incorporate an innovative and inviting store design, utilizing sustainable building materials.

    Franchise Fee: $25,000
